Canterbury Drop-in Sessions

Come and have a chat!

The simple act of talking to people is often taken for granted, not to mention the even more simple act of listening, but we know that the best way to understand what matters to you is by doing those two precise things. As the old saying goes: “The more you listen, the more you can hear” and while we’ve always considered the conversations we’ve shared with you over the past two years as our most invaluable source of information, we’re also aware that it’s not always easy for everyone to get involved.

In this era of Zoom, Teams, and Skype, face-to-face conversations have become ever rarer.  This makes them ever more precious.  Meeting in person makes it much easier to have open, honest conversations.

That’s why we’re now offering a series of one-to-one drop-in sessions; a chance for you to sit down with Alice, who leads our community work here in Canterbury, and have an informal chat. You can hear more about the project, ask questions, share concerns - or just tell us what you think.

Whether you’re excited, unsure, curious, or have ideas of your own, your input is as vital to the process as oxygen is to the process of breathing, and we want our dialogue with you to flow in and out in exactly the same way.

We're listening and we want to continue to do so.

Meet Alice

Alice is our Head of Community. She’s not an engineer or a designer but plays an equally vital part in the project: making sure your voice is heard - loud and clear - every step of the way.

Alice in all our design meetings, feeding in your opinions, concerns and ideas, asking the questions you need answering, and helping shape decisions throughout the project. This also means she’s uniquely placed to be able to answer your questions in a direct, friendly, and open way, cutting through the jargon, and providing you with the information you really need to hear.

We’re still in the early stages - gathering ideas, listening, working out what’s possible, and that’s why your input now can really help shape what happens next.

Book a Drop-In

We’re really looking forward to meeting you, hearing what matters to you, and designing something that feels right for you, and for Canterbury.

Let’s create something truly great together!
