Engineering can create magic. But it can also be just as mysterious and confusing, particularly as it becomes more technical.
We are committed to 'translating' the technical into the understandable. We want everyone to have an opportunity to discuss our plans, share your views and understand the challenges we are facing.
In our last Coffee & Conversations session our conversation ranged from utilities to archaeology. A number of questions around engineering made it clear that these required a more focused session.
As a result, we're inviting you to a special evening with Nick, our Head of Delivery, and members of the design and engineering team behind South Canterbury.
Whether you’re feeling curious, concerned, or just want to understand more - we’d love to see you.
What to Expect
If you’re curious about what’s happening underground, how infrastructure is planned, or how we’re respecting Canterbury’s unique history and environment, then this event is for you. We want to play a significant and positive role in the City's future legacy and that's only possible by involving you every step of the way.
This session will be informal and welcoming, giving you the space to understand more, ask more questions, offer suggestions and ideas, and speak directly with the people doing the work.
This subject has sparked a great deal of interest. To help us meet as many people as possible, and fit around different schedules, we’ve split the evening into two sessions. Spots are limited, so please book yours today. We’ll confirm everything by email and look forward to seeing you there.

Venue Info
We’ve chosen a more accessible venue, closer to the site, with better parking. Once you’ve booked, we’ll be in touch to confirm your space and share the location details.
Can’t Make It?
If you’re not able to join us on this date, then please don’t worry. This is just the first of many events we’ll be holding throughout the lifetime of the South Canterbury development, many of them covering similar topics. If you'd prefer to speak one-to-one, however, then a member of our team would be happy to arrange a time that works better for you.
Alternatively, we’ve also just launched one-to-one sessions with Alice, our Head of Community. You can book your space right now by clicking here.
