We have started a programme of surveys and investigations, the first step in getting to know the site properly before anything is built.
This will help us understand the ground, wildlife and archaeology, to ensure that we can shape our work around them. The investigative work will take between 11 and 16 weeks. You may see teams in hi-vis, a temporary site compound alongside Appledown Way, and some works taking place in late summer and early autumn.
The new speed humps on Appledown Way are to keep everyone safe.
It's really important to us that you are able to approach people working in South Canterbury. Everyone working on site carries a South Canterbury contact card, and information boards around the site will explain what is happening and how to reach us.
You can, of course, also message us via the form at the foot of our home page.
