South Canterbury will include a range of homes: terraces, semi-detached homes, detached homes and apartments, for households of all sizes and budgets. We believe in mixed living, where homes sit alongside shops, pubs, cafés and local businesses. The Design Code will help shape how these work alongside streets and green spaces.
While Canterbury is best known for its historic core and Cathedral, different parts of the city reflect different periods of development, from the medieval centre through to more recent neighbourhoods. As South Canterbury develops, we want to understand what people value most about the places they live, and what helps somewhere feel like it belongs in Canterbury.
